Current and Past Campaigns
#REPEALTHEBAN
The Muslim Ban began in 2016. Executive Order 13769, titled “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States”, is an executive order by United States President Donald Trump. It is currently in effect.
The Muslim Ban bans people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.
The Supreme Court upheld the racist and Islamophobic Muslim Ban and the Executive Branch is it’s originator— thus for the material conditions of our peoples, organizers are focusing on defunding the Ban through the remaining branch of U.S. government, the Legislative, and by building transnational joint struggle. This campaign is collectively called #RepealtheBan and is led by a multi-organization coalition that is referred to as #NoMuslimBanEver coalition.
We are working to provide direct relief and political education to our communities affected by the Ban and organize to dismantle the apparatuses that enable the Ban, and other systems like it.
